It’s been a really long time since I’ve posted anything… I’m really not much of a blogger and often I really don’t have much to say. I do feel as though I should update this blog of sorts with some new information. How about some updates? No, not software updates… That will have to wait until I graduate, or at least until Summer break.
In the past ten months or so, my life has changed a lot. First, I began studying at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in the Fall of 2012. I am now in my second semester there and the simplest way to describe it is “difficult.” I have already changed majors twice. Beginning the Fall 2012 semester, my major was Information Assurance (IA). While signing up for classes for the Spring 2013 semester, I decided that IA was not for me and I switched my major to Computer Science (CS). The first day of Spring semester, or January 7th of this year, I attended my Calculus II class. Quickly, I determined that, although I really could do the math, I did not want to. So, before I knew it, my plans changed drastically and became a Psychology major. Why the huge change? Well, I’ve always found psychology to be very interesting, it goes well with my future plans to be a detective, and hey, there’s a lot less math involved. I still love computers, however, and retained CS as a minor.
The second change since last posting was that on June 25, 2012 I met a wonderful girl named Katie. We began dating on August 18th, 2012, and exactly one week from today will be our six month anniversary. It has been going very well! We’ve had our ups and downs, but they’ve all served to bring us closer together and to help us know each other better. This is certainly the most important and awesome change that has come about in my life!
All of the rest of the changes are more simple, such as buying a brand new 15″ MacBook Pro which is incredibly fast and pimped out with 16GB of RAM and a solid-state hard drive. Wow, I am enjoying this thing! Also, since my last post, I started and quit a job where I sold Cutco kitchen products. Amazing products, horribly stressful sales job. I am currently in the market for a job, but I am likely going to be hired soon at one place I applied. That’s exciting! I need money with anniversaries and Valentine’s Day coming up! I always love buying Katie things…
This is certainly the longest and perhaps most “blog-like” post I’ve ever written… I could have written about a lot more and in more detail, but I will keep the tradition of short and sweet… and rare. Until next time! See you again in 2014?
